ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Fallbrook College Preparatory Academy is a FREE sixteenth Generation Texas Public Charter School, located in Northwest Houston.  Fallbrook College Preparatory Academy integrates Literacy, Science, Technology, Math and Fine Arts to meet the full spectrum needs of the whole student.

Fallbrook College Preparatory Academy provides services to students that reside in the Aldine, Klein and Spring Independent School Districts. During the 2012-2013 school year it will serve students in grades Kindergarten through fifth.  Classes begin August 27th, 2012.  For more information on the enrollment please go to Admissions.

Fallbrook College Preparatory Academy is established to prepare a diverse population of Kindergarten through twelfth graders (especially those that have been under supported, overlooked, or under challenged in the larger traditional school setting) to enter and excel in the best colleges and universities in America and to assume leadership positions in our communities.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS


  • Per Dress Code male hair cuts should be low and neatly trimmed with no designs.

  • All students are required to wear their "official" school uniform daily (Boys trousers/Girls skorts with white tights).

  • Only Kindergarten and 1st grade students wear PE uniforms ALL Day on Monday and Wednesdays.

  • 4th Graders may wear PE Uniform to school on Tuesday and Thursday but are REQUIRED to change into their "official" school uniform IMMEDIATELY following 1st period.

  • 5th Graders may wear PE Uniform to school on Monday and Wednesday but are REQUIRED to change into their "official" school uniform IMMEDIATELY following 1st period.

  • 4th Graders may wear PE Uniform to school on Tuesday and Thursday but are REQUIRED to change into their "official" school uniform IMMEDIATELY following 1st period.

  • Absolutely NO Hoodies allowed on campus...if your child is cold natured please send appropriate coats or jackets.

  • Any student wearing a hoodie will be directed to take it off. The article of clothing will not be returned until dismissal.

  • Please mark each piece of your child's uniform with his/her name so that lost items may be returned.

  • Discipline Plan goes into effect Monday, January 7, 2013. Please familiarize yourself with the Discipline Document (distributed November 2013). For additional information or another copy please contact kwilliamson@fallabrookcpa.org.
    Discipline Plan includes (but is not limited to) the following Corrective Actions: In-School-Suspension, Thursday Detention (3:30-5:30 PM), Saturday SAC (9 AM - 12 PM).

  • All students MUST pay for meals. It is your choice to send meals for your child to ensure that they eat. For additional information please contact Tasha@fallbrookcdc.com.

  • Attendance is important. Missing school is missed learning opportunities. Please committ to having your child in school on time each school day. Last month 3 students won bicycles for thier PERFECT ATTENDANCE. To ensure your child has an opportunity for this month's drawing ensure he/she arrives to school on-time each school day. School starts at 7:45 AM.

  • The state of Texas requires that all children who are at least 6 years of age by Sept.1 of the school year or who have attended first grade be enrolled in school. This law applies to all children in Texas who are under the age of 18. Once a child is placed in kindergarten or pre-k, the truancy law is applicable.

  • If a student has missed 10 days or any segment of a day for 10 days within a six-month period, it is a violation of Texas truancy law. In addition, if a student has missed three days or more or any segment of a day within a four-week period it is also a violation.

  • If your child falls into this category you will recieve a call and a letter from our school counselor (Mrs. Young).

  • Students arriving to school after 7:45 AM MUST be accompanied by an adult to the Front Office.

  • Please check your child's belongings before arriving to school each day to ensure that electronic gadgets do not accompany them to school (this includes cell phones and ipods).

  • Enrollment Applications for the 2013-2014 academic school year will be available on-line from January 15 - April 15, 2013. Next year we will serve students in Kindergarten - 7th grade.

  • Remember:
    School hours are from 7:45a.m. - 3:30p.m. and your child must be picked up in a timely manner.
